Cheffe Colette and Cheffe Pamela opened the original Inn Spot in 1999 in Quogue. The chefs decided to serve a few breakfasts at the restaurant, to augment their very sucessful off pemises catering business, and watched, amazed, as the crowds arrived and would often wait over an hour for a seat. The “few breakfasts” became its own monster and was soon voted the “best breakfast in the Hamptons”.

Part of the appeal is the fact that every thing is made from scratch. There are no mixes - Grandma’s pancake recipe is whipped up every day. In season Pam’s parents supply the blueberries, cherry & heirloom tomatoes, rhubarb and any other goodies that are ready to be picked in their garden each day. Often the specials are decided by the Wolfert’s morning harvest. At the back of the Inn Spot is a collection of herbs in pots planted every spring which are picked as the orders require them. As customers learn of the herb collection they sometimes bring new or unusual cuttings to add to the beds and watch as recipes are created to make use of the new plants. The catering business remained busy, with events for high profile clients including The President of the United States and First Lady, many celebrities and our ever faithful local clientele. It soon became time to expand, and to quell the ever present din of customers asking “when will you serve dinner?” Due to zoning ordinances in Quogue, it was necessary to look elsewhere.

In April 2004, The Inn Spot on the Bay in Hampton Bays opened, to a dinning room full of “foodies” and fans of Cheffe Colette, and with that, the new venture was off to a smashing start. The award winning restaurant is housed in a wonderful, completely renovated Victorian, with panoramic bay views, and seating outside on the wrap around verandah. The large waterfront lawn is the ideal place for a wedding or any other catered event. With Hamptons style and New England charm The Inn Spot on the Bay rates off the charts. With guest rooms available by the day, week or season The Inn Spot On The Bay is in itself a perfect Hamptons getaway.

After ten years of wonderful business, The Inn Spot in Quogue ceased operation, and the breakfast lunch business was smoothly relocated to The Inn Spot On The Bay. The serene setting and beautiful water views are the ideal setting for day time dining, as well as sunset dinners. Both the restaurant and the inn are open year round.
